Gift Wrapping Services

Aside from designing unique invitations, one of the services we offer in our O'Bryonville store is gift wrapping.

Select from our many paper choices, including inexpensive solid colors, then choose a ribbon from our ribbon wall, and let us do the rest! You can also buy your supplies here and do the wrapping yourself, making every gift a little work of art.

Wedding Invitation Tip: Multi-Purpose Save-the-Date

We're always looking for new, functional design ideas for wedding stationery. This one helps a couple's budget and their wedding guests.

The idea is to include accommodation information with your Save-the-Date, instead of printing a separate Accommodations card as part of the formal invitation. With this format, out-of-town guests have important travel and hotel information well in advance, allowing them to plan ahead for your big day, and you have a simpler invitation with a smaller price tag. Perfect!

Wine and Roses

This is fun for a rehearsal dinner or any party involving wine, created by Margot Madison Stationery! The roses are purple in this invitation to match the bride's wedding colors, and note the little monogram on the wine bottle.

Letterpress Swash Invitations

This is one of my newest and most favorite designs. My favorite detail is the swash that is on the back flap of the envelope and wraps to the front. It is beautifully letterpressed on cotton cardstock. The bride opted to have the reply postcard printed in-house to stick to her budget.

Creative Project #3-Pendant charm

At least I think it's number 3. I had several amazing hours without children last week so as I took my leisurely time getting ready, I decided that I needed a necklace to go with my sweater.

So in the spirit of spontaneous creativity, I took out my bead box and pieced together this little pendant. What I like most about it is that I actually used a part from some old earrings I didn't want, plus the necklace from somewhere and the clasp from somewhere else.

Valentines, Then and Now

I thought you all might enjoy this little comarison. The "Then" Valentines (on the left, obviously) are from a collection I found in our barn when we moved in about 10 years ago. The "Now" Valentines are what my kids received this week at school. My, how things have changed...

with men's fashions ;o)

With technology...

And the ideal valentine gal...

We're featured in another Etsy Treasury

This is an interesting treasury (collection of items from etsy) that features our Geometric Squares laptop decal. I like the orange and chartreuse combination with the squares!

Tips for Going Green with your Invitations

A priority for more and more couples is to reduce the environmental impact of their wedding. We have several tips for environmentally friendly wedding invitations. The added bonus to these tips is that they also reduce your stationery expenses!
  • Omit the Reception Card. There is a trend away from multiple inserts in a wedding invitation. With wedding websites and GPS, many couples include reception venue on the main invitation, creating a clean, simple look--and saving paper.
  • Use a Reply Postcard. Rather than a reply card & envelope, just use a reply postcard! Your guests will see the same design on their reply card, but you'll save on envelopes and postage costs. (See some of our samples here.)
  • Forgo an Inner Envelope. While still popular with traditional formal invitations, the inner envelope was a necessity when mail would be all but destroyed in transit. Skip it and save!
  • Include Accommodations with Save the Date. We can design your Save the Date in a way that accommodations information fits seamlessly. Not only does this reduce paper (and the cost of printing an Accommodations card), but it helps your guests plan ahead.
  • Print on Recycled Paper & Cardstock. Much of the paper we use is made from a minimum of 30% post-consumer recycled materials, and we have many choices that are 100% recycled and organic.

Retail Me Not

I can't believe that I'm blogging about this on the Margot Madison Stationery blog but it is such a great on-line find! Lindsay suggested I try RetailMeNot for on-line coupons and I was amazed at the great savings I found from my favorite retailers. Sweet!

Studio Mela

This etsy artist Studio Mela or Dazeychic caught my eye. I love her simple text and imagery combined with quirky text. Of course I love the graphic color....I just can't resist strong color!! I'm thinking about where I can put one in my house.
