Laptop Decals

Introducing Margot Madison Stationery's newest product line....Laptop Decals! A laptop decal is a covering for your laptop that not only offers protection from scratches, it adds distinction and flair! I think this makes a great graduation gift since EVERY student has a laptop now. Shown here is the very popular Orange Damask style with a monogram, we also offer the Team Rugby styles where you can choose the school colors of the student. They are available at the Margot Madison Stationery retail store, or you can purchase them directly from our on-line store.

Paper Inspiration

I saw this great idea while perusing the newest Martha Stewart Living magazine this morning. Since I have a bit of a paper fetish, I carry a vast amount of decorative papers from all over the world and from many wonderful paper designers at my retail store. So many people gaze at the wall in amazement, knowing that they NEED to have the paper but have no idea WHAT TO DO WITH IT! Here is one idea that would be super easy to do. And as a side note, these chairs are from IKEA and are inexpensive and very comfortable. The link to the craft is here. For paper ($4 to $18 for a sheet about 20x30"), visit Margot Madison Stationery retail store and be inspired!

Boylan Drinking Glasses

Although Margot Madison Stationery retail store products focus on (the obvious) stationery lines that I love and are artfully designed, I do run across the odd gift product that is, for whatever reason, too great to pass up. That's what happened when I saw these glasses at the Atlanta Gift Show in January. They are "up-cycled" Boylan pop bottles, gathered from restaurants in NYC. The glass is thicker than most and it makes for a lovely sipping experience. I love the bright colors and the opportunity to mix it up when choosing my morning juice glass. They are on sale at now at my store while supplies last for $7.95 each.

Monogram Birth Announcement

This is such an elegant birth announcement. The baby's monogram is letterpressed without ink to make a subtle impression into the soft, thick Crane's Letra cardstock. You can change the color of ink to match your baby's "signature" colors or room decor. Price for this announcement is $340 for 100 qty. These are available from the Designer's Fine Press Album at Margot Madison Stationery retail store. If you are not local to the Cincinnati area and cannot come into the store in person, you can also order these by phoning us at 513-871-2069.

Another letterpress invitation suite created by Margot Madison for Designer's Fine Press. This has a beautiful line drawing of a chrysanthamum in red. Of course you can change the colors as you wish if orange or pink are closer to your theme. A 2-color letterpress suite (including reply cards and envelopes) is $815 for 100 qty. Another option I offer at the store is to print these with our in house giclee printer for less than half that cost!

Graduation time!

Spring is coming and that means the graduates are too! We have some great invitations and announcements ready at a super (budget friendly) price. All are available at the Margot Madison Stationery Etsy store and all are customizable, of course. Shown here are some designs I call "Wordplay". These allow individual highlights and phrases to relate the graduate's personal journey. You can use humor (such as embarrassing your child), brag or get sentimental. The beauty of this design is that whatever you say, it will look amazing with your words!

Don't forget that these can be the graduate's school colors too!
This is a great invitation for all those summer weddings and events coming up. The bright pinks and oranges are a refreshing pop of color. I also think this would make such a beautiful Bat Mitzvah invitation! This letterpress set created by Margot Madison Stationery for Designer's Fine Press is only $990 for a suite which includes 2 color invitation and reply cards with envelopes. These are available at our retail store, as well as other stores across the country.

Just so you all don't think I only want to talk about MY work here at Margot Madison Stationery, I must post this about my friend and amazing artist Kimberly Applegate. She started this aspect of her career as an artist a year (or more?) ago and it has been an amazing thing in my opinion. Small paintings (6" square) painted often make for bites of beauty at a small price. She also sells the prints after the paintings are sold. Wouldn't they make a lovely grouping?

This painting reminds me of my sweet Grandpa Arnold Gross, who introduced me to mid-century modern furniture, architecture and art. He had this chair in his office, which (in the early years before he worried more about smoking as a bad habit) smelled of the most delicious pipe tobacco. I took his extraordinary sense of style for granted (didn't every grandparent have bright orange tulip chairs and table in their breakfast room?) and didn't realize how fortunate I was until in college at the bauhaus museum in Germany and saw much of his furniture on display.

Anyway, back to Kimberly. I highly recommend signing up for her painting notices. If you're not ready to buy, just looking at her clever chair and painting combinations will be inspiration enough.

Everything is available in my etsy store.

Here are some beautiful birth announcements from Margot Madison Stationery printed through Designer's Fine Press Baby Album. As you can see from the photos, they are beautifully letterpress printed on fine textured cardstock (like Arturo and Crane's). There are also versions of these that include a photograph of your sweet baby. Prices for 1 color letterpress announcements are $275 for 100 qty, and 2 color letterpress announcements are $340 for 100 qty. This is the most competitive letterpress pricing I've ever seen in the market and the quality and service are amazing.
