Bridal Expo and Fashion Show at the Cincinnati Art Museum

Cincinnati Art Museum Bridal Gown Exhibition

I mentioned a while back about the Cincinnati Art Museum having a great exhibition on bridal gowns called "Wedded Perfection: Two Centuries of Wedding Gowns" which runs from October 9th, 2010 through January 30th, 2011. I can't wait to see all the dresses and my goodness, what a skinny waistline this chick must have had, yikes!

Mark your calendars because there will be a fashion show and expo on Wednesday, November 10th from 6-9 pm with light hors d'oeuvres (Okay, a small interjection here: it took 3 tries to spell that word correctly! When will we stop using that word in America?? Anyway...) and a cash bar etc. I'll be there with my invitation samples and would love to meet you in person and answer any questions you may have on you invitations etc. I think it's going to be good fun so bring a friend and come along! And hey, it's FREE so you can't beat that, right?

If you're a bride, you should go to Saks on Saturday!

Saks is having a really fun bridal event with prizes and swanky giveaways. Get you're bridal posse together and head to the gorgeous downtown store from 2 until 4 this Saturday, November 13th. Holiday Save The Date Cards from Margot Madison Creative

Here's a little smattering of save the date cards I have for sale at my etsy store. Of course you could use any of the holiday cards to do the same thing too, but these are especially cute and can be specific to you and your betrothed. I love the birch tree carving one because you can have your initials "carved" into the tree. The invitations I designed in Colin Cowie's wedding books

Many of you have been asking about the work I did with Colin Cowie, and I thought it was time to do a quick show some of the designs that were featured in his wedding books "Extraordinary Weddings" and "Wedding Chic". I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Colin over the years as he is an amazing host with true elegant style--he's the real deal, not just a talker with a pretty face. I'll also say that I enjoy working with all my clients, whether they have a million dollar budget or not. ;o)

This is the "Confirmation Booklet" for a wedding that took place in Capri. Lots of great die-cuts to mimic the coastline of Capri.

The 3 on the left page and the top left on the right page are mine.

These were menu booklets with the guest's names on so they did double duty as placecards too.

This was the menu with the guest's name in the same gold as the signature medallion monogram.

Host cards for the wedding had the gold medallion monogram and a die-cut detail.

Cincinnati Art Museum and Channel 5 give away a wedding!

To celebrate the upcoming exhibition, “Wedded Perfection: Two Centuries of Wedding Gowns”, which runs from October 9, 2010 to January 30, 2011, the Cincinnati Art Museum has partnered with Cincinnati Wedding magazine, WLWT Channel 5 and some of Cincinnati’s premier wedding vendors to give away a wedding at the Art Museum. 

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Tell us your love story in a clever and engaging way- make us laugh, make us cry, make the public want to root for you!

The Cincinnati Art Museum will choose four finalist couples and is looking to visitors of the Cincinnati Art Museum to choose the winning couple. The four finalists will have video presentations within the exhibition where visitors to the exhibition can vote for their favorite couple; this is the only place that people can vote for their favorite couple but they can vote as many times as they want with one vote per visit to the Art Museum. The public and the 4 finalist couples will be able to track public voting on wlwt.com.

Madisono's Gelato wins "We Love Cincy" award!

Many of you may know that my "better half" is in the gelato business. My husband Matt produces and sells Madisono's Gelato, the delicious low fat, big flavor frozen dessert at various retail and restaurant outlets in Cincinnati (Nada, Nicola's and Via Vite to name a few...).

It is exciting to announce that he won the "We Love Cincy" Best Gelato award from Cincinnati Magazine for the 3rd year in a row. I couldn't agree more, I must say but you can read for yourself below:

I'm so proud to know rockin' woman, April Combs. After a mom-style hiatus, she picked up her voice again and is singing beautifully with her brother in their band Honneycombs. Their song "New Moon" is on this season's True Blood. Take note, and have a listen.

Margot Madison Creative Stationery is now Margot Madison Creative!

Creative design is what Margot Madison Creative Stationery has always been about and I want to do more! I will be creating invitations and designs on an appointment only basis starting in May at the I-Do Boutique just across the street in O’Bryonville, or via email and phone calls.

The retail store will be closing at the end of April which means great savings on the products you love! All inventory will be 30% to 75% off through the end of the month.

We are so excited that The Bonbonnerie, Cincinnati's most delightful and delicious bakery has moved their tea room next door to Margot Madison Stationery on Madison Road. The Bonbonneri Café has expanded their offerings and will be a tea room, coffee shop, luncheon spot and more!

Brides, don't forget that the Bonbonnerie does some of the most amazing wedding cakes and their decorated cookies make wonderful shower treats or wedding favors.

The new Margot Madison Stationery webpage is finally uploaded and live. I've simplified the process greatly, since I wanted more control over the products sold on the site, as well as keep everyone connected to the new invitations and projects we are doing.
