Country Wedding Save the Date

This save the date for a country wedding has the most gorgeous illustration on it! The bride and I decided that the location of her wedding at her family farm was so unique and special to her family history, that it should be highlighted in the save the date. I contacted Christina Wald, who is a professional book illustrator and asked her to create something for Emily's save the date. Of course, she exceded our expectations with a stunning colorful and historically accurate painting. We are using the scanned artwork in the save the date (as you can see here) and also in the invitation. No doubt, we will not stop there and possibly use it on the sweet tags for the home made apple butter favors too. The best part? The bride is going to frame the painting and present it to her grandparents as a gift.

Wedding Invitation Tip: Multi-Purpose Save-the-Date

We're always looking for new, functional design ideas for wedding stationery. This one helps a couple's budget and their wedding guests.

The idea is to include accommodation information with your Save-the-Date, instead of printing a separate Accommodations card as part of the formal invitation. With this format, out-of-town guests have important travel and hotel information well in advance, allowing them to plan ahead for your big day, and you have a simpler invitation with a smaller price tag. Perfect!

Holiday Save-the-Date

Have some big news to share this holiday season?

We love dual-purpose greetings, and here is one of our favorite new designs.

Getting married in the coming months? Send the news this year with your holiday card. Save-the-dates are often sent 6-12 months before the big day, especially for destination weddings or international travel, or 3-6 months for a wedding near your home and family. These announcements typically include the couples' names, wedding date, location, website and/or travel & accommodations information.
