25 Days of Gift Wrap: Day 1
My creative challenge this Christmas is to explore gift wrapping and post one of my own creations each day. I will tell you that I'm totally freaked out to commit to something like this! I love being consistently inconsistent--it's my artsy thing, you know. But this is a good kind of challenge and the double bonus is that all my gift wrapping will be completed before December 24th. *high fives to myself* (which really just looks like a clap, if you think about it. Don't think about it too much or you'll start giggling like I'm doing right now.)
The first installment showcases a gift topper created from layered felt circles, sewn together with a vintage sequin at the top. I used my cream wrapping paper, and a silverish sheer ribbon. The felt circles (and other shapes) are pretty inexpensive and available from vendors on etsy such as this one. You can find similar sequins from this company...and I tell you, they are fun to have around!

ReplyDeleteLove this! My hat's off to you on this challenge, thanks for inspiring us all!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! What a cool choice to go neutral with this one. I write a blog about gift wrapping and it's so fun for me to see what others come up with - best of luck on your challenge!
